The wilderness surrounding our facilities is perfect for wonderful nature experiences witch you never will forget, either you walk alone or in a group. Walk in to the valley, up in the mountains or down to the shoreline. You will find peace and quietness here. It is magic, either you walk under the midnight sun or the northern light.

Andøy Friluftssenter

Spark up a fire near one of our beautiful lakes, you can sit right here for a rest. Here you can get new energy. And there is a big possibility that you will catch a fish.
On an early morning trips you can discover the moose eating its breakfast, the fox hunting in the hillside, see a herd of reindeer crossing the marsh while the eagle on wide wings are flying over you.
From the balcony you can watch otters and seals, and around the living room tiles grouse.

In the winter months the great skiing terrain offers challengers for all ages, and we sell fishing cards and equipment both in the summer and in the winter season.

* It is fantastic to walk near the seaside both in the area near Andøy Friluftssenter and on the west side of the Andøya Island.

During a visit to "Skavdalsvannet" it can give you many experiences, and it is a possibility to fish trout.

A map over the different walks and marked paths in Andøy has been made. Innside you can find a lot of trip suggests. You can buy it at tourist informations and in book shops.

Vesterålen Hiking Associaton have made a wonderful book for trips in Vesterålen with more than one hundred aerial photography, with name of places and good places to walk. You can buy it in bookstores in Vesterålen, or order it by emailing: turistinfo@vestreg.no
